Fernwood Artworks of Maine, Inc.

     We started Fernwood of Maine in the spring of 1994.  It was a typical case of adding more funds to the pot so that our family could enjoy more skiing, horseback riding, boating and all of the other fun stuff families like to enjoy together.

     Our product at that time was hand painted original pieces.  We were working closely with a local bank to hand paint each home in which the bank mortgaged.  In addition to this, we took individual orders for homes and businesses.  The business flourished and we found ourselves working most evenings and keeping busy at our full time jobs during the day.

     In March of 1997, we discovered a method in which we could reproduce one of our original paintings and manufacture multiple pieces.  Since that time, business has steadily increased.

     We structured our business based on two principals: First, "keep it simple".  This is reflected in our pricing, ordering requirements, and many other aspects within Fernwood.  Second, "customer service".  We feel that there is a great need to please you, our customer, and we will go to great lengths to accomplish that goal.

     So, there you have it.  We will continue to maintain Fernwood's growth in a direction of simplicity and customer service so as not to lose sight of what has made us successful.  We will be around for the years to come and look forward to maintaining a successful business relationship with you our customer.
